By creating an account or using Herdbook ("the app", herdbook.app), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Using the app

Herdbook is a tool to help you record and manage information about your livestock. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your area, to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account.

2. Your data

The records you enter are yours. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you record. We store your data securely and do not sell it. See our Privacy Policy for details.

3. Free and paid plans

Herdbook offers a free plan with limits and an optional paid subscription (Herdbook Pro) that unlocks additional capacity and features. Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment processor. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of your billing period.

4. Not professional advice

Herdbook provides record-keeping and reminders as a convenience. It is not a substitute for professional veterinary, financial, or breeding advice. Always consult a qualified professional for decisions about animal health and your business.

5. Availability

We work to keep the app running reliably, but we do not guarantee it will be available or error-free at all times. We may update, change, or discontinue features.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Herdbook is provided "as is" and we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app, including any loss of data or livestock-related decisions.

7. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
